I'm David, and I'll be your author today.
David runs Rounding Error Press, a tiny but stubbornly dignified outfit dedicated to stories that don’t fit the usual molds. After the children grew up, the pets retired from active duty, and the butler (regrettably imaginary) was let go, he turned his attention to the kinds of books that reward close reading and a raised eyebrow.
Retirement granted him the rare luxury of indeterminate deadlines — a gift that proves especially useful during Santa Season, when schedules bend, sleigh bells intrude, and the calendar becomes more suggestion than law.
He writes and publishes with the same philosophy he brings to garage‑sale archaeology, dealership folklore, and the occasional Santa appearance: everything has a story, and the smallest details often carry the biggest truths. Rounding Error Press exists to celebrate those details — lost keys, ambiguous objects, half‑remembered rituals, and the quiet comedy of being human.
It’s a one‑man shop with a sense of humor, a sense of purpose, and a deep respect for the beautifully imperfect.
